Introduction
My Yoga and Naturopathy Journey Part 2 – I never knew that a search for better health would completely reshape the direction of my life. What began as a search for better health through yoga gradually opened many new doors in my life. Yoga did not remain limited to physical practice—it inspired me to study philosophy, food, healing systems, discipline, and the deeper connection between body and mind.
This is the second part of my journey.
Bhagavad Gita, Yoga & the Importance of Food

During my yoga journey, I also started studying the Bhagavad Gita and memorized up to Chapter 6. Its teachings influenced the way I looked at life, discipline, self-control, and health.
At the same time, I began understanding how important food is in maintaining well-being. That curiosity led me to formally study naturopathy.
My Yoga and Naturopathy Journey Part 2: Studying Naturopathy with Dedication
I enrolled in a Diploma in Naturopathy program. My schedule was demanding:
- Office work until 6:00 PM
- Classes from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
- Around 40 km bike ride to reach home near 10:00 PM
It was tiring, but when learning has purpose, effort feels meaningful.
Through naturopathy studies, I learned practical concepts about diet, lifestyle, and the body’s natural healing support systems.
One personal result I noticed was better blood pressure management through disciplined food habits and an alkaline-focused approach.
My Yoga and Naturopathy Journey Part 2: Helping Others Through Guidance
As I learned more, I naturally started sharing practical knowledge with people around me.
A Friend with Digestive Issues
One friend dealing with ulcerative colitis improved significantly after making food and lifestyle changes consistently over time.
Supporting Better Health Habits
Another person dealing with thyroid-related concerns also benefited from structured lifestyle guidance, weight management, and continued medical supervision.
These experiences strengthened my belief that awareness and habits can play an important supportive role in health.
My Yoga and Naturopathy Journey Part 2: Completing DNYS & Entering a New Phase
I completed my naturopathy studies in 2020. Soon after, the world entered the COVID-19 lockdown period.
During that time, I received an opportunity to serve as a COVID warrior in a large hospital. It was a meaningful phase where service and learning came together.
My Yoga and Naturopathy Journey Part 2: Learning Modern Medical Science
While serving, I also subscribed to Dr. Najeeb Lectures to understand modern medicine in greater depth.
I studied topics such as:
- Immunology
- Blood physiology
- Endocrine physiology
This gave me a broader perspective—traditional wellness systems and modern medical science both have valuable roles when understood properly.
My Yoga and Naturopathy Journey Part 2: Why I Did Not Continue Naturopathy Practice Professionally
Although I valued naturopathy deeply, I found that many people wanted immediate results without changing long-term habits.
Natural healing approaches often require:
- Patience
- Consistency
- Food discipline
- Routine changes
- Long-term commitment
Without these, progress becomes difficult.
Exploring New Fields: Finance, Insurance & Governance
Life then took me into new professional directions.
I entered the field of mutual funds and insurance. To build connections and practical opportunities, I also moved into housing society management.
For that, I pursued and completed a GDCA (Government Diploma in Cooperation and Accountancy).
I also studied several important legal and governance subjects, including:
- Indian Contract Act, 1872
- Indian Evidence Act, 1872
- Negotiable Instruments Act,
- 1881 Transfer of Property Act, 1882
Learning never remained limited to one subject.
Why I Started Blogging
From the beginning, I always had a habit of discussing ideas and sharing knowledge.
Over time, I realized something important:
Even if only a few people hear you in person, published knowledge can reach many more people over time.
That thought led me into blogging.
I learned WordPress, explored web tools, built my own website, and started publishing articles across health, philosophy, finance, Coand practical life topics.
Today, that journey continues with growing content, improving SEO, and expanding reach.
A Personal Note
At this stage of life, blogging also became meaningful because of my ongoing health challenges, including treatment for follicular lymphoma and hepatitis B, which made some physically demanding work more difficult.
Instead of stopping, I chose a new path—creating, learning, and sharing online.
Journey Continues…
Every phase of life taught me something:
- Health struggles taught resilience
- Yoga taught discipline
- Naturopathy taught lifestyle wisdom
- Service taught compassion
- Study taught humility
- Blogging taught expression
And the journey is still continuing.
In the next post, I will share a special naturopathy-based food concept: the 80% alkaline and 20% acidic diet approach.
